Working with young athletes
As a teacher with significant primary and secondary experience and as a sports psychology mentor, I have a unique perspective on the intricate dynamics between sport, school and parents. I understand the pressures young athletes face, not just in competition, but in balancing academics, training, and personal development. Parents play a crucial role in this journey, and so does the school environment. My experience allows me to bridge these worlds, helping junior athletes thrive by fostering a mindset that supports both performance and well-being.
My experience working with young people has shown me that trust is the foundation of their development both in sport and in life. I understand that young athletes need a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard, valued, and understood. Building these trusting relationships allows me to guide them through challenges, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and a mindset for growth. When young athletes trust the process and the people supporting them, they are more open to learning, adapting, and ultimately reaching their potential.

With extensive experience as both an athlete and a mentor, I bring a deep understanding of the mental and physical demands of sport at all levels. This allows me to deliver effective sport psychology mentoring to adults of all abilities, helping them navigate challenges, set achievable goals, build confidence, and optimise performance. Whether working with competitive athletes or those looking to enhance their mindset for personal growth, I tailor my approach to support each indiviuals journey.

Individual Sports Psychology Coaching
Personalised sport psychology sessions at Comp Ready are designed to address the unique mental performance needs of each athlete.
Using evidence-based techniques, the sessions will focus on areas such as confidence building, focus and concentration, managing performance anxiety, motivation strategies, or developing pre-competition routines.
Each session is interactive, providing practical tools that athletes can immediately apply in training and competition. The goal is to build mental resilience, optimise performance, and enhance overall well-being in sport and life.
Group Sport Psychology Workshops
Group sport psychology workshops at Comp Ready are suitable for sports teams, groups of individual athletes and also school groups designed to enhance team dynamics, mental resilience, and overall performance.
Through a combination of education, guided exercises, and group discussions, athletes gain valuable mental tools they can apply in both training and competition. These workshops foster a supportive environment where athletes learn from each other while developing stronger mental skills to elevate their performance.

Individual Sports Coaching
At Comp Ready we offer personalised coaching for swimmers, cyclists, and runners, combining sport-specific training with mental performance strategies to help athletes reach their full potential.
Each session is tailored to the athlete’s goals, whether it’s improving technique, building endurance, optimising race strategies, or enhancing mental resilience. Coaching may include technical analysis, structured training plans, pacing strategies, and mindset training to improve focus, confidence, and race-day performance.
With a holistic approach that integrates physical preparation and sport psychology, athletes develop the physical and mental skills needed to perform consistently and confidently in training and competition.
